Wow, It's Been Awhile
I was looking at the website today, and I can't believe it's been so long since I last posted. There are many new things going on around here.

We've added Frankie, the Holstein bull. She is about a week old today. We'll keep him for 6 months, unless someone just has to have her. We've also added 4 pigmy goats, and many other chickens.

We've become interested in Micro Gardening, and will be transforming the area very soon. We'll be posting videos as we go along.

I will also be updating the website shortly.

We Keep Growing
Wow, a month has gone by since I last posted. Time sure does seem to fly by these days.

Well, we've added to our animal population. Yesterday, we were given a new, beautiful billy, which the girls named Bruce. Today, Sandy gave birth to two beautiful little ones, the smallest goats I've ever seen. Of course, she is our biggest doe.

I'm sure we will add at least 4 babies over the next few days, since 2 of our other 3 does are expecting. Bob was born last month, and we aren't sure who the mom was. We though it was Dixie, but she is still pregnant, and Polka and Bambi still look to be with kid themselves. Poor Dixie, we thought Bob was hers and forced him on her.

We've also added a goose to our flock and of course, the girls named it Lucy. A dog was chasing her and she ran up to a friend of ours for safety, so he brought her to us.

Our potbellies, Petunia and Little Girl should be delivering anytime as well.

Random Thoughts
My how time flies. It's hard to believe I haven't posted in so long.

Anyway, all the goats, including the old one are doing well. Dixie surprised us overnight, with a young billy. Just a single goat this time. He'll be available in about 5 months, and he should be a small one, a cross between a Nigerian Dwarf and a pygmy.

Our chickens are producing about a dozen eggs a day. If you would like a dozen, let us know. We have the following breeds:

Brahma ~ Buff Orphington ~ Butter Cup ~ Game ~ Wyandotte ~ Sex Link

Petunia, our small potbelly is also due anytime now. Check back for updates.

Double If A Popular Term Around Here
Well, we bid goodbye to Star, our Nubian Goat a couple of weeks ago. She went to live with our friend Rick, who wanted her since he has some overgrown property he wants her to help clear. I'm sure she will be happier there, since she was the low goat in the pecking order anyway.

We welcome 3 new goats to our farm. I'll post some pictures in the next couple of days. They are Bambi, a mini, and Polka, a small black cutie, and Buffy, which you know is a buff color.

That brings us a total of 5 goats, 1 Billy and 4 Nannies.

Oh yea, I forgot about me. I'm an old goat too.

Who Said There Was Only One
So, it seems that the rabbit really had more than one. It just took a couple of days for the rest to become brave enough to join the oldest.

While feeding this morning, there were three more bundles of joy running around the chicken pen. We removed those and placed them with mom in a different pen. Shortly thereafter, another two ventured out of their burrow. Just when we thought that was it, out popped the last one.

So, 7 cute little babies have almost doubled our rabbit population. We done some research, and will probably continue to increase our rabbit holdings.
